Building your own deck is very satisfying however it can also be very stressful. Let us know your idea & how much you want to spend so we can help! Whether it is a fun or competitive deck, we will assist with card choices & throw some ideas at you so you will be playing like a pro in no time.

What is a prerelease?

Your very first chance to play with the cards from a brand-new set.

A week before the set is released, you can head to your favorite local WPN member game store to crack open some packs, build a deck, and try out all the exciting new cards and mechanics in a friendly, informal tournament.

Store Championship is a structured, in-store tournament program that follows many major Magic: The Gathering releases. It is an opportunity for players to prove their mettle and earn commemorative promos. Store Championship events are a great way for players to hone their skills and use new cards a set brings to the Standard format.

Taking place on release weekend, Open House is a space for new-to-Magic players to come in and learn how to play Magic: The Gathering in a friendly social non-competitive environment. Experienced players in the community are welcome to join the fun, bring their own friends along to teach, or even become a mentor to newer players in the community. 

Commander Party is a one-day event where players are immersed in the story! They enjoy playing with special rules designed specifically around the theme of the set, found nowhere else. These events are ideal for new players, where they participate in a casual in-store event and get absorbed in the world of Magic.
